The Tsinghua University International Graduate Program Online Application Service System Service Agreement (hereinafter also referred to as "this Agreement") is entered into by you (hereinafter also referred to as "User") and Tsinghua University (hereinafter also referred to as "we"), and shall have equal legal effect on both parties. Before you use the Tsinghua University International Graduate Program Online Application Service System (hereinafter referred to as "the System"), please read and understand all the terms and conditions of this Agreement, especially the terms and conditions shown in bold or underlined form, which are (may be) significantly related to your rights and interests (including the agreement on our responsibilities, your rights, dispute resolution and Jurisdiction, etc.), please pay attention to the key readings.

Special notice to you, because this system mainly serves international graduate students, so this agreement has two versions in English and Chinese. In case of inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
1. Definition and Description
1.1 The "System" refers to the "Tsinghua University International Graduate Program Online Application Service System", which is owned by Tsinghua University and operated directly by Graduate Admissions Office, an internal institution of Tsinghua University, and is used for international graduate student admissions at Tsinghua University.
1.2 The "Service" refers to the services related to Tsinghua University International Graduate Admissions provided to students by this system, including registration, submission of information, online payment of fees and other services.
1.3 The term "User" in this Agreement includes both registered and unregistered users. Any user who is not registered for the System/Service becomes our unregistered user upon commencement of use of the System/Service and is subject to all terms and conditions of this Agreement other than those exclusive to registered users.
1.4 "Account", means the user identification information registered by the User for the purpose of using specific functions of the System/Service.
2. Registration of account
2.1 Users can view the information related to graduate admissions at Admissions Information Platform. Register and log in to your account before you can apply. Before you start to register your account, you should have the civil capacity appropriate to your behavior as stipulated by the laws of the People's Republic of China and your country of citizenship.
2.2 You should set and keep your account and password properly (e.g. set a more complicated password, do not disclose the password to anyone), all operations and activities conducted by your account in this system (e.g. information browsing, registration, online payment, submission of information) are regarded as your own true intention, and you should be legally responsible for all activities and events conducted by your account.
You should ensure that the information you submit is true, accurate and valid. The system will collect and use such information within the necessary limits, and will store and handle such information properly, and the specific rules can be found in Privacy Policy of Tsinghua University Graduate Application Service System.
3. Account and use of this system
3.1 The user undertakes to use the system only for the purpose of the user's own graduate application and not to deviate from the purpose of the specific functions of the system.
3.2 In the process of using the system/service, users should comply with laws and regulations, Tsinghua University rules and regulations, and all network agreements or rules related to the system/service, etc., and should not do any of the following, otherwise you may bear the adverse consequences such as disqualification of application, infringement liability, etc.:
3.2.1 Providing false registration information or application information, including fictitious experience, impersonating others, providing false supporting materials, etc;
3.2.2 Intrusion into the System (including website, database, etc.) or interference with the normal operation of the System/Service through any technical means;
3.2.3 Crawling, reading and collecting any information and data of this system by any means (including robot software, spider software, crawler software and any other automatic programs, scripts and software);
3.2.4 Infringement of our or a third party's patent, copyright, trademark, reputation or any other legal right or interest;
3.2.5 Other violations of laws and regulations, Tsinghua University rules and regulations, and all network agreements or rules related to this system/service.
3.3 In the course of using this system/service, users shall not create, copy, publish, or disseminate the following information in this system or using this system:
3.3.1 Those who oppose the basic principles established by the Constitution of the People's Republic of China;
3.3.2 endangering the national security of the People's Republic of China, leaking state secrets, subverting state power, and undermining national unity;
3.3.3 Damage to the national honor and interests of the People's Republic of China;
3.3.4 Inciting ethnic hatred, ethnic discrimination, and undermining national unity;
3.3.5 Undermine the national religious policy of the People's Republic of China , promoting evil cults and feudal superstitions;
3.3.6 Spreading rumors, disturbing the social order and destabilizing the society;
3.3.7 Dissemination of obscenity, pornography, gambling, violence, murder, terrorism or abetting crime;
3.3.8 Insulting or defaming others and infringing on their legal rights;
3.3.9 Inciting illegal assemblies, associations, marches, demonstrations, and gatherings to disrupt social order;
3.3.10 Those that contain discriminatory content, such as ethnic discrimination, geographical discrimination, gender discrimination, religious discrimination, etc;
3.3.11 Those involving politically sensitive content;
3.3.12 False, coercive, obscene, harassing, libelous, vulgar, invasive of another's privacy, or otherwise unethical or objectionable content;
3.3.13 Content that may cause serious negative impact on Tsinghua University or other individuals or organizations;
3.3.14 Other contents that violate the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, the rules and regulations of Tsinghua University and all network agreements or rules related to the system/service, as well as other contents that we consider inappropriate.
3.3.15 Please be fully aware and understand that Tsinghua University has the right to stop your access to the system in the current graduate admission year if you violate this agreement by committing the above violations, which negatively affect the order of Tsinghua University's graduate admissions
4. User personal information and privacy protection
In order to use this service, you must authorize Tsinghua University to collect, use and store your personal information through this system. We attach great importance to the protection of your personal information and privacy. Please refer to "Tsinghua University Graduate Application Service System Privacy Policy" at for details. Please read "Tsinghua University Graduate Application Service System Privacy Policy" carefully before using this service and fully understand all the contents of this privacy policy to make sure you understand the rules of handling your personal information by this system/service. If you do not agree with any of the terms in the Privacy Policy, you should immediately stop using the system/service.
5. Intellectual Property and Confidential Information
5.1 The intellectual property rights of the content related to Tsinghua University and this system/service are owned by Tsinghua University or related right holders, and users are not allowed to copy, reproduce or use them in any form without prior written permission. The content referred to in this clause includes, but is not limited to, Tsinghua University's name, logo, the design, code, content, information, and user information of this system. The intellectual property rights referred to in this clause include but are not limited to patents, copyrights, trademarks, etc.
5.2 Documents and information (including but not limited to personal information, financial information, technical information, business information, etc.) belonging to Tsinghua University and third parties and not available from public sources that the user learns in the course of using the system/service are confidential information. Users are obliged to keep such information confidential and shall not disclose all or part of such confidential information to third parties without prior written consent.
6. Disclaimers
6.1 We do not assume any legal responsibility if the service does not operate normally due to force majeure. Based on the special nature of the Internet service, the aforementioned force majeure includes: governmental acts, natural disasters, war, strikes, computer viruses, hacker attacks, network interruptions due to technical adjustments by the telecommunications management, etc.
6.2 You understand that the system cannot guarantee that the service will not be interrupted or interfered with or damaged under any conditions, so we do not guarantee the timeliness, safety and accuracy of the service. You should make a good backup of your data, and we will not be liable for any loss of information data in the course of using this system.
7. Change and termination of services
7.1 We reserve the right to update or revise this Agreement from time to time. Such updates and revisions will form part of this Agreement and will have the same effect as this Agreement, and we will not reduce your rights under this Agreement as currently in effect without your express consent.
7.2 In the event that this Agreement is updated, we will notify you by pop-up alerts, email, SMS or system announcement methods and other reasonable means so that you can keep abreast of any changes made to this Agreement. Please read the updated version of this Agreement carefully before you continue to use our system/services. If you click "Agree" again or continue to use the System/Service, you are indicating that you have fully read, understood and agreed to be bound by the updated Agreement.
7.3 You can apply to us for cancellation of your account or correction or deletion of your information in the manner agreed in Article 4 of "Privacy Policy of Tsinghua University Graduate Application Service System" , and we will respond to your request if the corresponding conditions are met, please refer to "Privacy Policy of Tsinghua University Graduate Application Service System" for specific rules.
7.4 The termination of service or agreement does not relieve the user from legal responsibility to Tsinghua University and third parties for violating the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, Tsinghua University's rules and regulations, and all network agreements or rules related to the system/service.
8. Notice, Service
8.1 All notifications from the system to users will be made by pop-up alert , email, SMS or system announcement , and such notifications will be deemed to have been delivered to the recipient on the date of sending, so please pay full attention to the notification information.
8.2 Users may contact us in the following ways to give us feedback on the System, the Service and this Agreement, or to report violations.

In order to verify the user's problem and provide feedback to the user in a timely manner, we may require you to submit proof of identity, valid contact information and written requests and relevant evidence. We will deal with the user's problem as soon as possible, and the user can still provide feedback to the relevant government departments in accordance with laws and regulations.
9. Application of law, jurisdiction，etc.
9.1 The laws of the People's Republic of China shall apply to the conclusion, entry into force, interpretation, amendment, supplement, termination, enforcement and dispute resolution of this Agreement.
9.2 If any dispute arises between the parties regarding the Service and the content of this Agreement, the parties shall try to resolve it through friendly consultation; if consultation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with the Beijing Haidian District People's Court.
9.3 If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, void or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions of this Agreement.
