个人简介

谷林,清华大学教授。2002年清华大学本科毕业,启蒙于我国电子显微学专家朱静院士;2005年获得美国亚利桑那州立大学博士学位;之后先后在德国马普金属所以及日本东北大学从事博士后研究工作。近年来的研究以电子显微学为主,从晶格和电荷自由度揭示功能氧化物材料、储能材料和催化材料原子尺度结构和电子结构的关联;在此基础上,实现轨道自由度电子占据态的直接观测,取得了系列成果。

Lin Gu, professor at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University, has been engaged in the field of electron microscopy for nearly 20 years. In 2002, he graduated from Tsinghua University mentored by Academician Zhu Jing. In 2005, he received his Ph.D. from Arizona State University supervised by Prof. David J. Smith. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research in Stuttgart Germany, and the Tohoku University in Japan. In recent years, Dr. Gu focused on the atomic structure and electronic structure of functional oxide materials, energy storage materials and catalytic materials from lattice and charge degrees of freedom. On this basis, the direct observation of electron occupied states is realized at orbital scale.
